Beatles at the Ridge Music Festival

September 19 & 20, 2014

Beatles at the Ridge Music Festival is one of the fastest growing festivals in the South, covering Historic Downtown Walnut Ridge. The event team was recognized with the “Welcome to Arkansas” award and a “Henry Award” at the 2013 Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Beatles at the Ridge Music Festival was also recognized as “Top New Festival in Arkansas,” by the Arkansas Festival and Events Association.

Three stages of entertainment will feature a variety of music – Beatles, early Rock n’ Roll, Country and Bluegrass – from regional and national musicians including the renowned Beatles tribute band … Liverpool Legends.

Cavenaugh Chevrolet’s Rock n’ Roll Hwy Stage

Headlining the Main Stage this year, the Liverpool Legends are four talented musicians and actors who were hand-picked by Louise Harrison – sister of the late George Harrison of The Beatles. Louise’s involvement with Liverpool Legends makes them the only Beatles Tribute band in the world with a close, direct biological link to the original Fab Four! “Liverpool Legends Beatles Tribute Band present the very best portrayal of The Beatles that I have every seen!” says Harrison.

Riverbilly, Sonny Burgess and The Legendary Pacers, Government Radio Factory, and Comedian Keith Terry will also perform on the Cavenaugh Chevrolet’s Rock n’ Roll Hwy Stage.

First National Bank’s Beatles Park Stage

Headlining Friday Night at the Beatles Park Stage will be Jeffrey & The Pacemakers, who were recently tapped to play before Sir Paul McCartney outside of the Fed Ex Forum during Paul’s latest visit to Memphis. If you really love The Beatles, The Kinks, Gerry and The Pacemakers, Peter and Gordon, The Zombies, Manfred Mann, The Who, The Byrds, The Animals, Donovan, The Dave Clark Five, Herman’s Hermits, The Rolling Stones, The Searchers, The Troggs, The Yardbirds etc..you’ll LOVE this trip down memory lane.

Opening on Friday night will be Deadwood Groove.

The Nuttin’ But Talent Show will take place on the First National Bank’s Beatles Park Stage this year. Entries will be judged in either a musical or dance category. Cash prizes will be awarded in both categories and the winner of the musical talent division will have a chance to open for the renowned Beatles tribute band, Liverpool Legends, on the Cavenaugh Chevrolet’s Rock n’ Roll stage.

Artists & Authors Symposium

The Artists & Authors Symposium kicks off 2 p.m. on Friday (and all day Saturday).

Featuring art and private collection displays, seminars, multi-media presentations, including meet-and-greet and autograph signing sessions.

Authors – Jude Southerland Kessler, Chuck Gunderson, Kit O’Toole, Lanea Stagg, and Anthony Robustelli.

Artists – Enoch Doyle Jeter, Ken Orth, and Rande Kessler.

ATTENTION TEACHERS. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be issued by Black River Technical College.

Regions Bank’s Octopus Garden for Kids

New this year is the Regions Bank’s Octopus Garden for Kids. Danny Donuts will be leading parades up and down Abbey Road. He will have Sgt Pepper colored Kazoos and a parade handout for the kids. There will also be Beatles Karaoke, games, inflatables, rides, food and much more, making it a fun-filled event for the entire family.
